Is redacted information recoverable?
Redacted content is removed from the exported PDF, not just covered with a black box.

Do you store my documents?
No. In the managed True Redact app, files are processed in memory-backed storage for the active redaction job, then cleared after processing and download. Original PDFs and redacted outputs are not retained by True Redact.
What sensitive information can True Redact detect?
True Redact can identify common PII such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, dates of birth, SSNs, account numbers, medical record numbers, credit cards, URLs, organizations, job titles, and custom terms you provide.
Can I choose which PII categories to redact?
Yes. Pro and Max plans include category controls, so you can choose the data types to remove. You can also add custom terms for exact names, IDs, codes, or phrases.
Can I process multiple PDFs at once?
Pro can queue up to 10 PDFs, and Max can queue up to 25 PDFs. Files move through the same detection, redaction, and export flow with per-file progress.
Can it handle scanned PDFs?
Yes. Scanned documents are processed with OCR before detection, so True Redact can find sensitive text in image-based PDFs as well as native PDFs.
How accurate is the detection?
Detection is designed to catch likely PII across the categories you select. Custom terms help remove names, IDs, or phrases unique to your document set.
What are the file and page limits?
